Research Paper Traditional Family Values
You will complete a minimum 10-page research paper in current APA format related to the focus of the course and course material. The paper should be a minimum of 10 pages in length (not including title page and references page) and follow APA guidelines, with at least 10 supporting sources including research/journal articles published within the last five years.
A course of action to defend traditional family values must be included comparing and contrasting the significant aspects contributing to the argument of the topic as well as practical applications to family, faith, and the future.
The paper must address the historical understanding of the topic along with the philosophical, moral, cultural or societal elements associated with the topic.

Topic: A course of action to defend traditional family values must be included comparing and contrasting the significant aspects contributing to the argument of the topic as well as practical applications to family, faith, and the future.
The paper must close with an appropriate conclusion summarizing the major observations from the research and suggestions for additional study of the topic.
Research Paper: Topic Rationale Assignment
Topic – You will submit a topic with a 300-word rationale detailing why the topic is relevant to the course and its application to current family, faith, and the future. Include at least five supporting sources.
Select a topic for further research based on one of the aspects that may contradict traditional family values. Then present a course of action to defend traditional family values to include a comparison and contrast of the significant aspects of each that has been presented. There will need to be an analysis of research on each element which can be found in the Liberty Online Library (JFL).
This is not an abstract and is not an opinion based presentation. Please be sure that you are answering all questions below when selecting a topic. Research will be necessary for this project to be successful.

The topic rationale should answer every one of the following questions:

If each question is not answered, then this segment has not been developed enough to move to the next stage of the paper successfully. This will be much clearer if the course materials are investigated and additional materials from the library are incorporated.

- What you are looking to do is from what the problem is, why it is a problem, who has been researched, who is telling the story (citing), and what has been done to address the issue, etc. With research, the journals should share who is studied, who is impacted, what is the actual problem, etc… the 5 W’s – who, what, where, when, why and the H – How. Consider how you can frame questions as relevant to your topic. - An example would be…Author (year) showed in research done that investigated certain number of subjects if such and such was actually a problem and found that….
- Note that the best way to find what you are looking for related to research is in the summary and conclusion of the research article as the body has great stuff but can be a bit hard to muddle through.
- This paper will have to be very much based on research.
- Be sure to frame one problem right from the start, then break out the contributing factors to the problem. It is not clear what one area you will be focusing on, but right from the start you are pointing out several things which is not clear what the main thesis of the paper is. Only that there are multiple sub-topics that you are going to write about.
- An example of a framed problem would be that Research shows that divorce impacts children by…. then actually state what the research says from there and frame the problem of divorce negatively impacting children and how. Or if you want to write about the impact of fatherless homes on children and talk about the definitions of fatherless home, after you share what the research says about the impact, then so be it. Whatever you choose to write about, please be sure to stick to one topic and develop your paper from there.
