Difficult Employee: Usually, a standard or minimally acceptable performer, this is the employee who is seen as exhibiting an attitude problem: a bad attitude, a poor attitude, or a generally negative attitude

 

Managing Difficult Employees

Labeling: The tendency to apply simplistic labels to employees based on their behavior, for example, “grouch,” “know it all,” “hothead,” and such. Labels will forever be used as a matter of convenience, but it must be recognized that labels tend to stigmatize, and rarely if ever is a label completely descriptive of an individual.
