Learning Activity Write a Persuasive Essay
Instructions:
As you recall from A203, Research and Case Studies, conducting research is a critical step in the writing
process. Read the example, and pattern your responses accordingly.
Here is some information to help you focus your research.
• You will develop a five-paragraph persuasive essay on the Operation Geronimo Case Study.,
• You will choose from either one of these two sides to persuade the reader:,
(1) “President Obama had the legal authority to order Operation Geronimo and to execute the
plan,
(2) “President Obama did not have the legal authority to order Operation Geronimo and to
execute the plan.”,
• Essays must be a minimum of three full pages and no more than five pages in length., This does
not include the APA format title and references page.,
• You must provide a minimum of two references for the references page.,
• Ensure you use Times New Roman 12-point font and the current APA writing style (Student
Paper).,
• Your essay should be typed, double-spaced on standard-sized paper (8.5″ x 11″) with 1″ margins
on all sides.
• You will have two days to complete your essay.
