Effective Interviewing and Impressions
An interview is a good time to make a good first impression for both the employer and applicant. Putting your best foot forward, no matter which side of the interview table you sit at, is necessary. For example, if the interviewer does not pay attention, asks questions that are not related to the job, or cuts the applicant off mid-answer, this is a sign of a bad interviewer. This could be a warning to the applicant that this company lacks organization or has poor leadership. If an interviewer is well-prepared, actively listens, creates a welcoming environment, asks relevant questions, and asks thoughtful questions, this may be a sign of good company culture and a great leadership team.
